Hinton Newport is one of the leading partnerships of Chartered
Surveyors in southern England. Established in 1987, it is also
one of the oldest and has a reputation for providing a highly
professional service.
The Survey and Valuation Department provides survey reports
for prospective purchasers and mortgage valuations for banks
and building societies.
David Newport FRICS:
David has over 20 years of experience in the Commercial Residential Market and is senior partner of Hinton Newport Surveyors.
David founded the company in 1987 with Peter Hinton. Prior to that he was employed as a partner with Dunster and Moreton in Swindon.
Peter Maksymuk BSc FCIOB MRICS:
Peter is a Chartered Building Surveyor and ex-District Building Inspector
for Swindon Borough Council. Peter has experience in the undertaking of
structural, Building Surveys, Condition Surveys, Homebuyer Survey and Valuations.
Previous experience has included the supervision of large building works, working as a site engineer for
Tarmac Special Projects Design and Build. His experience includes both residential,
commercial and local authority buildings.
Qualifications include Chartered Surveyor, a member of the Chartered Institute
of Building, and also an approved SAVA Home Inspector
- qualified to undertake Home Condition Reports, which include
Homebuyer Surveys and full Building Surveys. This requires
the surveyor to be competently assessed every 3 years.
Rupert Williams FRICS IRRV:
Rupert joined Hinton Newport in 2001, having worked in Swindon
since 1995. He is involved in both commercial property agency
and a variety of professional work including valuations, rating
appeals, rent reviews and lease renewals.
Rupert was previously employed in the Valuation Office Agency
and gained extensive experience in the valuation of property for
Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Compulsory Purchase.
Michael Lees FRICS:
Michael has been based in North Wiltshire since 1977. Previous experience was obtained with Royal Sun Alliance as Regional Director of Surveying until 1998 when Michael became Consultant to Hinton Newport.
Michael carries out building surveys, homebuyer surveys and valuations of residential properties.
Mike Hancock BSc (Hons) TechRICS:
Mike joined Hinton Newport in January 2008 having recently qualified as a TechRICS member specialising in Residential Survey and Valuation.
Having an RICS accredited degree in Real Estate Management and three years post qualification experience work both in the building industry and in residential survey and valuation we believe he will be a great asset to the business.
Mike is continuing to further his knowledge by working towards his Assessment of Professional Competence and hopes to become a full Chartered Surveyor in March 2009.
